October musings! 2024

So I sit here as the Alabama weather is cooling slightly, although not enough for the air conditioner not to go on!! Thinking about all that is going on around us, the devastation of hurricane Helene, the wars around the world! We are so small in comparison to all these very big issues, including an election coming up for America. The one thing that does not change is art - we as artists will go on painting beautiful things, because that is the only way we can sometimes interpret the world around us. People want to have interesting and beautiful art in their homes so that they can create a place that is lovely to come home to and look at. I am surrounded by art painted by my dad during his lifetime, it reminds me of him, and his exquisite talent, and grateful he left that legacy for us and our family. I have sold many paintings this year, and although I don’t know everyone that has bought my art, I hope it is a ‘piece of beauty’ for you in your home! For Birmingham, AL folk I will be at Art in the Loft on 10/26, and at Moss Rock art festival in Hoover on 11/2-3. Come and visit me there if you local or not!! Till next time ❤️
